Continental breakfast at the La Quinta Inn in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Everybody is ready for another long day in the car, but today we only drive about 10 hours. Who knew La Quinta would be such a fine establishment? We almost didn’t get a room because their policy is usually 21 and up; fortunately Mitch is a sweet talker and Bud at the front desk felt bad for us when he saw us stagger in last night..we must have been looking tired?? All in all, a good first day and a great first night sleep.
Looking forward to hitting Vegas eventually! Planning on arriving in Oceanside on Thursday morning at this point. We’ve been getting some good pictures along the way so far so we’ll have to update the website when we get a few minutes tonight.
For now, we’re hittin the road.
